It started in 2016. I was working in Jyväskylä as team photographer for the Toyota Gazoo Racing World Rally Team, a job that was the fulfillment of all my dreams.

That same year, I bought a small cabin as a weekend escape. Silence, nature, wildlife, no neighbours worth mentioning. I fell for it completely, so completely that I eventually stopped going back to the city. I just stayed.

In the meantime, after getting married, my wife bought a larger house because she wanted more space for her hobbies and her home office job.
I spent almost two years renovating that house by myself, and in July 2026 we finally moved in.
Now my little paradise stands empty, and the cute squirrels are left on their own.

That´s not how we want it to be.
After nine years of calling it home, the cabin got a little refresh, a few tweaks, a few upgrades. It’s ready now. The squirrels have been patient long enough for some new neighbours, so come and stay for a while, the cabin is waiting, the squirrels are curious, and Lapland has a way of getting under your skin; we think you’ll understand once you’re here.
